Manifesto

Our dream is to have a community of selectehs promoting all kinds of social music in several languages. Be part of this dream! We envision selectehs specializing in music genres, languages, regions, and other communities.

Our objective is to select good new social music according to our tastes, and to promote it to broad audiences. We want musicians, DJs, radio and podcast producers, journalists, and other experienced listeners to subscribe and enjoy the selections we have prepared for them. If they find Selecteh interesting, many more will find it interesting as well, including casual listeners new to this scene. And all of them will contribute to spreading good new social music. At least, this is the plan.

We believe that, to succeed, Selecteh needs a manifesto, editorial guidelines, and a code of conduct. They ensure that all selectehs share the same objective, a common format, certain character, and a lot of respect.

Selecteh manifesto

All Selecteh members commit to these points:

• We promote new music released on fair platforms.
• We select quality over quantity according to our personal tastes.
• We refuse ads, promos, popularity contests, peer pressure, favors to friends, and self-promotion.
• We let the music and the artists speak, limiting our ego to our selection and just a bit of personal spice.
• We create our texts manually.
• We illustrate our texts with media from the artists, or fair use / open license media that has been created manually.
• We abide by a code of conduct that applies to our music selections, our publications, and all the communications in Selecteh channels.
